Adventures at Rockwall Winery

One of the things I like to say is, “I’m a mother, I’m not dead.” Let’s face it, becoming a parent creates huge life changes but your life doesn’t stop. As a parent I’m always looking for family friendly wine events and I’ve found a great recurring event with Rockwall’s Food Truck Frenzy. Not only are kids everywhere, but they often have activities like face painting and those under 5 are free.
Each event is themed and last month’s event was “Urban Palate”. The price of admission includes one glass of wine. This time they were pouring their Rockhound Red and Rockhound White. Best part is, you get to keep the glass which is a gorgeous and sturdy stemless number with their logo. Additional glasses of wine are available for purchase.
EDIT: Not all events include your first glass of wine so be sure to read ticket details carefully.
In addition to the wine they have several food truck and local artisans. My favorite artisan was Erin of Feed the Fish Co (@FeedFishCo) because she had a make your own wine charm station. I ended up making 10, but I could have made a 100.

The next event is on July 3rd and the theme name is “Red, Whites and Blues!” and you can get your tickets here: http://www.rockwallwines.com/events
I’ll be there for sure.
