Jordan Throws the Best Parties

I used to think that I didn't like caviar, but at Jordan Winery I learned I was wrong. For the Wine Bloggers Conference last year about 30 of us had the incredible opportunity to do a paired caviar and wine tasting, along with a full winemaker's dinner at Jordan Winery. The wine and caviar pairing was a modified version of their Champagne and Caviar Tasting. My favorite was the Truffled Whitefish, followed closely by the Beet and Saffron Whitefish. The caviar was by Tsar Nicoulai, a California company that is focused on sustainable caviar.

Jordan is one of the old school wineries in Napa, having been established in 1972. Jordan is most famous for their Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay; however, they have also just released a new Champagne. Notice how I said Champagne and not Sparkling Wine? That is because they have partnered with AR Lenoble in France to create the Jordan Cuvée. At $49 it is a steal! Currently you can pick it up at the winery, or have it shipped to any address in California.

Jordan, like many wineries, takes hospitality seriously. Their menu featured poached halibut and grilled duck, followed by a cheese plate, and an assortment of desserts. I think everyone was sad to head back home, but I know I'll be returning for a visit. As a marketer by day, I would like to make a quick shout out to Jordan's Incredible Customer Loyalty Program, which is celebrating it's tenth year. In honor of that, they are running special contests all year long. Check out the gallery below.
